Coffee, Kahlua, and Irish whiskey? I mean does it really get better than that? The Irish winter may be my new favorite holiday drink. It is easy to make and even easier to sip.
The original recipe calls for Kahlua Coffee Cream liqueur but it cycles in and out of most stores and can be very difficult to get your hands on. If your local grocer is carrying it I recommend picking up a bottle and stashing it. It’s delicious. However if they don’t you can use regular Kahlua and Irish cream liqueur, like Bailey’s.
So here’s what you’ll need to stay warm, joyful and awake at that ugly sweater christmas party your friends talked you into…again.
What you need:
4 oz of fresh ground coffee| 1 1/2 oz of Irish Whiskey | 3/4 oz of Kahlua | 3/4 oz of Irish cream
What you do:
Pour ingredients into a mug or holiday cocktail glass | Stir with spoon until blended | Top with whip cream | Dash nutmeg or cinnamon on top
