Happy New Year everyone! January. It’s the time to reflect on the past year to see how far you have come but also to see how far you need to go. The year 2017 was one of the best years of my life. A few things that made it so amazing are, graduating college, marrying the man of my dreams, and starting our own business. Aside from reflecting on the past year, January is the time of resolutions. We have designed this tea box to motivate you and help you get through this flu season!

Keemun tea is one of China’s favorite black teas because of its many health benefits and its fragrance. This tea helps speed metabolism and burning fat. It is also knowns to lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Unlike some black teas, keemun has a fruity flavor and has a reddish tint. Personally, black tea has never been my go-to tea but this one is one of my favorites and I find myself craving it often. The flavor is unlike any other and I understand why it’s such a hit in China.

Tonique is an herbal blend tea that is mostly turmeric. I’m sure you have all heard about the health benefits of turmeric so I will make this simple. Turmeric has been used in India for many years as a spice and a medicine. It is the spice that makes curry yellow. Turmeric contains curcumin which is the most beneficial part of turmeric. Unfortunately, curcumin does not absorb well into the bloodstream, so it is best to have it with pepper because it helps you absorb the curcumin.
